My story starts in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia where I was raised. I received my undergraduate degrees in Criminology and Anthropology and my Master's of Social Work at West Virginia University. I am experienced in working with preteens, teens, and adults with a variety of unique experiences and mental health needs.
I have a special interest in working with survivors of trauma and PTSD. I have a passion for exploring the mind-body connection and how a person’s past trauma, experiences, thoughts and feelings appear in the physical body. I work with many clients that have endured past traumatic experiences and currently suffer with chronic illnesses. I am also well versed in how an individual's spirituality (denominational and metaphysical) can be used to find physical and emotional healing.
As someone diagnosed in my mid-20s with ADHD, I am also passionate about helping those with neurodivergent minds navigate life in a not so accommodating world.
I am a strong activist for social justice and enjoy being involved in important causes such as human rights and gender affirming care.
When not working, I can be found snuggled up with my cats playing video games, spending time with family, or making arts and crafts.
